MT. PULAG National Park is the highest peak in Luzon and the 2nd highest mountain in the Philippines. You can trek through lush forest, find solitude in the grassland, experience ancient mountain culture, or encounter rare plants and animals, including the world’s largest cloud rat and smallest bamboo. Hiking experience like the Sound of Music grassland or Lord of the Rings forest. Scenario: Hot during the day, freezing frosty during the night and Glorious during the sunrise.

 

ITINERARY

Day 1 Feb 8 Fri 7 pm ETD Manila to Bagiuo

 

Day 2 Feb 9 Sat  4 am ETA Baguio

7 am DENR Mt. Pulag Park Office

Breakfast

10 nn Ranger Station

Lunch at Camp 1

4 pm Campsite (camp cooking lesson)

6 pm Early Dinner and Sleep

 

Day 3 Feb 10 Sun  3 am Wake Up Call, warm soup, trek to the summit before sun rise.

6 am Trek down, breakfast, breakcamp

8 am Trek back to Ranger Station

11 am Lunch at DENR Daclan

3 pm ETA Baguio

INCLUSIVE :

-          Round Trip Jeep Service from Baguio to DENR to Ranger to Baguio

-          overnight tent accommodation

-          climb and camping permit

-          Crash course on Basic Mountaineering Course NO Climb Orientation, NO CLIMB

Not included: Personal Medicine, trail food, trail water, porter, round trip bus fare to and from Baguio

 

PARTICIPANTS are encouraged to donate educational toys & books, or school supplies. And also invited to participate in tribal community activities or if any. These actions will make your trip more meaningful and memorable and you spiritually and emotionally healthy.

MT. MAKILING Rain Forest Fun Hike

Botanical Garden, Swim Pool  and Camping

This mountain park features large tracks of natural and old-growth forests as well as plantations of endemic and exotic trees. It presents geologic wonders like the mudsprings, flatrocks, creeks, waterfalls, caves and peaks.  The reserve harborsendemic and endangered flora including kapa-kapa, tayabak, Malaboo, and others.

Some wild animals: Philippine deer, monkey, wild boar, palm civet, cloud rat, monitor lizard, forest stream frog, fruit bat, forest dove, parrot, hornbill, eagle, falcon, kingfisher, and others

Fun Climb Mt. Makiling in Los Banos, Laguna, to give your self a treat of cool, fresh and clean forest air. Enjoy the view of the summit overlooking Batangas, Manila and Laguna. After the hike, soak in the warm water of the hot springs in Laguna.

CHRISTmas Outreach Party and Tree Plantingwith the Tribe of Dumagats in Laiban Tanay 

Nature Awareness and Conservation Club, Inc is organizing a simple Christmas party with the Dumagats in Laiban Tanay Rizal on December 9, Sunday. Activities of the Celebration is tree planting, simple lunch with the community, donation of livelihood, paints and books for the school and swimming. This is open to everybody who wants to help. 

NACCI needs to Raise Funds for the Community needs below.

  1. Paints for the School
  2. Educational Books for their school (dictionary, books published year 2000 & up)
  3. Simple snack with the Day Care Center kids on December 9 Sunday
  4. Catering Utilities for Eco Tourism livelihood
  5. Medicines for the community health center, Vitamins for the Kids
  6. Badminton set, basketball set, educational toys etc

Itinerary: 5am ETD Cubao 8am to Laiban, Orientation, Program, Gift Giving, Lunch, Tree Planting, Swimming (este clean up pala he he he);     4pm ETD back to Manila.
