Taal Lake and Island Tour

TaalLakenIsland

TAAL Lake Cruise and Island Volcano Tour

http://mothernatureasia.multiply.com/photos/album/17

Taal Volcano is a highly active volcano at the heart of a larger protected area established in 1996.  The Taal Volcano Protected Landscape is composed of over 65,000 hectares in 13 towns and 3 cities, including Lipa City, Tanauan City and Tagaytay.

The entire area is a land of mystery and shrouded in myths.  Most of the tourism is concentrated on Tagaytay Ridge and the shoreline of Talisay town.  There are, however, other entry points to the crater as well as other attractions that a visitor would find interesting.

Taal offers a glimpse of the ancient past of the region, debunking myths told about this mysterious caldera, exploring the archeological and biological mysteries from the viewpoint of scientists themselves all from the gentler side of the lake where the Tagalog culture is still most evident.

“This is our primary source of livelihood. If we do not take care of it, there might be a time when we will have nothing to eat,” says Mr. Laudico Perez, SUGPO President, the Samahang Ugnayan ng Pangisdaan ng Orion “Who else will take care of it except for us who benefit from the sea?

Two mangrove nurseries were established in Balut and Camachile, where propagules are nurtured prior to reforestation. Harvesting of propagules is conducted only during January to May because of limited propagules. Nonetheless, the organization encourages its members to continually collect propagules. Mangrove species nurtured include bakauan lalake (Rhizophora Apiculata), bakauan babae (Rhizophora mucronata), bungalon (Avicennia marina) and pagatpat (Sonneratia alba). Nipa seeds are also being propagated, and if successful will be planted along the rivers. The organization will be strengthening its mangrove reforestation and fishery surveillance operations in the coming months through capacity building for its members. One major activity is also to develop second-tier of leaders to ensure the continuity of the organization. An information and public awareness campaign will also be undertaken to increase the mass-based support for coastal and marine management in the Municipality.

BATANES is the smallest province in the Philippine archipelago but probably popular province because of it’s undisturbed and unspoiled beauty of nature preserved by peace loving people.  BATANES is different – wind swept hills and boulder-hemmed shores that lure, challenge and haunt. The people are different – a brave and skillful race of hardy, inscrutable survivors.  The houses is different – stone walls, whitened with lime, and roofed in thatch of grass.

Laguna Visita Iglesia April 5 Thursday

Laguna Visita Iglesia

April 5, 2012 Thursday

St. Gregory Church (Majayjay Catholic Church) Reputedly one of the oldest churches in the Philippines built in 1575 using forced labor. Antique relief statues of saints, which were brought by the Spaniards, are preserved in this church. Its belfry houses four small bells and one big bell – which are probably the oldest in the country.

St. James The Apostle Church (Paete Church) Like many of the churches in the province, the Paete Church was built during the early Spanish period. But the novelty of this church lies in the fact that all the religious images found here were carved and/or painted by the residents of Paete long ago.

San Pedro De Alcantara Church (Pakil Church) Completed in 1767 after 35 years of construction, the architectural design of the Pedro de Alcantara Parish Church is reminiscent of the Corinthian and Ionic styles. In 1788, the Virgin of Turumba was enshrined in this church. Through the years, the church has survived great calamities. Along with the rectory, it was burned in 1851 but was repaired the same year; it survived two earthquakes, one in 1881 and the other in 1937.

My Life is GOD’s Gift to Me, what I do with it, is my Gift to HIM.

Conversation with GOD

Yesterday morning I asked GOD, why am I still single. And He answered.

Raise funds to support  poor high school students to join the summer youth camp 2012.(with help of highschool friend Chichi and Chirstopher)

Later that morning, He said, come up with a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Activities that will benefit the fisher folks of Bataan, more mangrove tree planting and Ecotours. (with help of Sir Sandy)

During lunch am seated beside a leader with physical dissability. And GOD told me to capacitate them to have more income. (with help of Ate Noemi)

Then I ask this morning, can I get married after I accomplish all of this?? He said, you choose who you want to marry and I will bless you more.
