CAGAYAN NORTH PALAUI

When West Philippine Sea meets Pacific Ocean at Cagayan North Philippines

When West Philippine Sea meets Pacific Ocean at Cagayan North Philippines

The northern point of the island is called Cape Engaño where on the summit of the hill lie the ruins of Cape Engaño Lighthouse. Engaño Cove is a small cove southwest of the lighthouse where supplies for the station were previously landed. Today, small vessels can find good anchorage in this protected cove, except by northwesterly and westerly winds. A trail and a 229-step concrete stairway from the cove leads the travelers to the lighthouse. The Port of San Vicente in Santa Ana, Cagayan, situated between Palaui Island and the coast of Luzon, is the jump-off point for crossing the channel to Punta Verde (Point Verde) on Palaui Island, or heading to Engaño Cove, a little further to the north. The hike from Punta Verde, the southeast tip of Palaui, to Cape Engaño takes about 3.5 to 4 hours of hike through beautiful verdant scenery. Primitive camping is allowed at the lighthouse vicinity.

A pioneering agro-industrialist, he built the country’s first working hydroelectric plant to supply his dessicated coconut factory and Villa Escudero, where he and his wife Dona Rosario Adap built in 1929.

From its humble beginnings, the resort has become a prime tourist destination for locals, overseas Filipinos and a wide array of foreign visitors to the country. Villa Escudero, Ultimate Filipino Experience

VILLA ESCUDERO

Ultimate Filipino Experience

 VILLA ESCUDERO

From its humble beginnings, the resort has become a prime tourist destination for locals, overseas Filipinos and a wide array of foreign visitors to the country. It has a worldwide reputation as a showcase for the Philippines’ rich cultural heritage, offering a beguiling glimpse of its history, cuisine, dress, customs and natural beauty a mere two hours away from Manila.

You’ll be welcomed with a warm greeting and a cool tropical drink. Be exhilarated by majestic volcanic mountains, rows of regal coconut trees, luxuriant fields and the happy faces and light-hearted voices of the village folk. All combine into a distinct adventure.

villa-escuderofb After lunch, enjoy the Philippine Experience Show and watch the country’s cultural legacy come beautifully to life. Paddle a native bamboo raft on the still waters of the lake, explore the grounds, watch for many of the 95 recorded resident bird species, take a dip at the pool or tour the rural village in a colorful jeepney and observe how coconut is harvested. CSR Pagbilao Mangrove Tree Planting

Pagbilao Magrove Tree Planting

Research Center, Quezon Province

Pagbilao Mangrove

This mangrove forest is a living proof of a successful rehabilitation effort. Even before World War II, the area was a favorite to poachers who gather the “bakawan” which is a very good material for charcoal. In 1975, the 145 hectare area was declared as Pagbilao Mangrove Experimental Forest by virtue of Bureau of Forest Development (BFD) Administrative Order No. 7 (s. 1975). This declaration provided the necessary protection (and funding) and further poaching was prevented. Now, the diverse ecosystem makes the area a favorite field trip destination mostly of botany and zoology students from prestigious universities. Now haven for photographers and Corporate outings.

Best of SOCCSKSARGEN

Best of Region 12

SOCCSKSARGEN is a region of the Philippines, located in central Mindanao, and is officially designated as Region XII. The name is an acronym that stands for the region’s four provinces and one of its cities: South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani and General Santos City. The regional center is Koronadal City located in the province of South Cotabato. Cotabato City itself is part of SOCCSKSARGEN, but Maguindanao is part of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

  1. Pangi River Tubing Whitewater Tubing take the challenge, take the plunge! Pangi River’s 1.6-km. tube ride in Barangay New La Union is among the most exciting adventures in Mindanao. Tourists can enjoy the cool and clean Pangi River aboard an inflated tube and experience the thrilling rapids and drops. Furthermore, visitors and guests can also enjoy trekking and commune with nature along the way. http://www.sarangani.gov.ph/index.php/tourism/tourism-spot/24-tourist-spot/58-whitewater-tubing-in-maitum1

VILLA ESCUDERO, Truly Filipino Experience

Villa Escudero, Truly Filipino Experience

After lunch, enjoy the Philippine Experience Show and watch the country’s cultural legacy come beautifully to life. Paddle a native bamboo raft on the still waters of the lake, explore the grounds, watch for many of the 95 recorded resident bird species, take a dip at the pool or tour the rural village in a colorful jeepney and observe how coconut is harvested. At Villa Escudero, there are so many ways to spend your day.

PINATUBO 4 WD Adventure & Fun Climb

PINATUBO FUN CLIMB

And 4 Wheel Drive Adventure

Mt. Pinatubo

First there’s the terrain: a vast expanse of land reaching out of the horizon, strewn with hills, mountains, streams, rocks, pebbles, and boulders the size of cars. Then there’s the omnipresent sand, which gets into everything and everywhere else. Finally there’s the journey it self: Sixty minutes of bumping adventure, grinding 4 x 4 action, followed by 45 min to 1 hours trek. Raw, rugged yet beautiful, Mt. Pinatubo – the EASY Climb.

Rising some 1780 meters above the plains, Mt. Pinatubo made headlines when it erupted 1991, burning a path of devastation throughout Central Luzon. Now Mt. Pinatubo is again a focus of attention as an attraction for eco-tourist.

 Kamay Ni HESUS Healing

God never fails a believer’s heart…

Rev. Father Joey Faller, spiritual director of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of the Philippines and founder of the kamay ni Hesus Healing Church visualized the church to give the sick and the spiritually weak a haven where they could feel and experience the presence of God.

At the church’s backdrop is a steep hill transformed into a picturesque Via Dolorosa Grotto of Healing and Purification, all of 292 steps, including the life-size statues of the 14 Stations of the Cross is leading to a 50-foot statue of the Ascending Christ —the third biggest in the world than can be seen miles away.
