Las Casas Joiner’s Daytour Package

Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar

Weekend Joiner Bagac, Bataan

A fine showcase of Filipino history and craftsmanship, Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bataan takes you back to 18th-century Philippines in the twinkling of an eye.

Las Casas Bataan

Architectural pieces of a bygone era, from different parts of the country, were reconstructed brick by brick, plank by plank. The noble-class mansions, wooden stilt houses, and a grand main building made of stone stand proudly in a village of cobblestone streets. To add up to the ambience, a backdrop of majestic mountains, expansive rice fields, and a running river that flows to the sea, are found in the vast property. Truly a travel destination unlike any other, this resort in Bataan is a living museum of Philippine heritage.

The traditional houses as hotel accommodations are the centerpiece of this Bataan beach resort about 125 km northwest of Manila. Even so, this destination resort does not lack in providing avenues for entertainment, relaxation, and recreation. It has the Napiya Spa, a swimming pool, private beach, gaming center, 3 restaurants, conference and banquet facilities, cultural shows, and heritage tours. Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar takes pride in giving you a glimpse of the past, reliving the age-old yet distinctive Filipino traditions, while providing the luxuries and comforts of contemporary times.

My Life is GOD’s Gift to Me, what I do with it, is my Gift to HIM.

The Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park (Filipino: Bahurang Tubbataha) is a protected area of the Philippines located in the middle of the Sulu Sea. The marine and bird sanctuary consists of two huge atolls (named the North Atoll and South Atoll) and the smaller Jessie Beazley Reef covering a total area of 97,030 hectares (239,800 acres; 374.6 sq mi). It is located 150 kilometres (93 mi) southeast of Puerto Princesa City, the capital of Palawan province. The uninhabited islands and reefs are part of the island municipality of Cagayancillo, Palawan, located roughly 130 kilometres (81 mi) to the northeast of the reef.

In December 1993, the UNESCO declared the Tubbataha Reefs National Park as a World Heritage Site as a unique example of an atoll reef with a very high density of marine species; the North Islet serving as a nesting site for birds and marine turtles. The site is an excellent example of a pristine coral reef with a spectacular 100-m perpendicular wall, extensive lagoons and two coral islands. In 1999, Ramsar listed Tubbataha as one of the Wetlands of International Importance. In 2008, the reef was nominated at the New 7 Wonders of Nature.

SUGGESTED ACTIVITIES ASIDE FROM THE BEACH

Kingfisher`s Farm

With an abundance of birds, mangroves, coves and natural panoramic view, it is an ideal place to unwind and relax away from the action-packed White Beach. Located in Lugotan, opposite boat station Kingfisher`s Farm is the only theme park that features a customary Filipino fish-farm dwelled by Bangus (milkfish) and Tilapia. It is certainly ideal for families or group of friends who fancy a quiet scene where they can grill, dine and indulge in recreational activities together.

Mount Luho

It is the highest elevation on Boracay Island with 100 meters above sea level. Climbers may reach the top by hiking, mountain biking or motor biking. Atop it is a little kiosk that offers refreshments to quench the thirst of onlookers who want to take a break from their uphill trip and relish the view of the entire Bolabog Beach.

Sunken Forest

Also known as Dead Forest, the demise of this woodland is a result of a strong typhoon that occurred a decade ago, which broke the dams of its fishpond and thereby destroying its jade-like mangroves. Regardless of its history, Sunken Forest is still a picturesque sight in the south end of Bolabog Beach that radiates romance and inspiration for nature lovers.

Kat-Tir Shell Museum

Located at Ilig-Iligan Beach, this Oriental-inspired museum showcases a wide array of phenomenal sea shells, pottery, wood carvings, ancient Chinese artifacts, and intrinsic handmade costumes representing the diverse influences on Philippine tradition.

The Tirol Heritage Museum

In homage to the Chinese traders who during the early times considered Boracay Island as their stopover before heading to Mindanao, Gloria and Roberto Tirol founded this private museum at the northern side of the White Beach, displaying Chinese relics and ancient remains representing Boracay Island`s history.

Bat Caves

At the north east coast of Yapak, the Bat Caves quarters an opulence of cave bats, flying foxes and giant fruit bats with a wingspan of up to four feet. Spelunkers and adventurers mindlessly explore the cave despite its stench and countless bat drippings. Environmentalists, on the other hand would rather leave the fruit bats to their daytime sleep and wait for the sunset at the White Beach while hundreds of bats take their nocturnal flight above the horizon. Meanwhile, tourists who would want to experience this manifestation can easily hire a local guide to lead them through the jungle-paths on the way to the cave.

Aurora Province is located on the East-Central side of Luzon Island. It is the north-eastern most province of Central Luzon (Region III). It is bordered on the north by the provinces of Isabela and Qurino, on the west by Nueva Ecija and Nueva Viscaya, on the south by Bulacan and Quezon, and on the east by the Pacific Ocean. The province’s main link to the rest of Luzon is through a narrow mountain gravel road that twists through the Sierra Madre Mountain Range. The road is located between Baler and Bongabon, Nueva Ecija.

Aurora is a province blessed with an abundance of tourist attractions. It has its share of historical sights such as the home and resthouse of former Philippine President Manuel L. Quezon. The province also has a beautiful Catholic church and several historical markers. Its natural attractions include picturesque waterfalls, lush greenery on mountainsides, and panoramic beaches. Surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, mountain climbing and trekking are only some of the activities a tourist can enjoy in Aurora.

October 26 to 27, 2012

“This is our primary source of livelihood. If we do not take care of it, there might be a time when we will have nothing to eat,” says Mr. Laudico Perez, SUGPO President, the Samahang Ugnayan ng Pangisdaan ng Orion “Who else will take care of it except for us who benefit from the sea?

Two mangrove nurseries were established in Balut and Camachile, where propagules are nurtured prior to reforestation. Harvesting of propagules is conducted only during January to May because of limited propagules. Nonetheless, the organization encourages its members to continually collect propagules. Mangrove species nurtured include bakauan lalake (Rhizophora Apiculata), bakauan babae (Rhizophora mucronata), bungalon (Avicennia marina) and pagatpat (Sonneratia alba). Nipa seeds are also being propagated, and if successful will be planted along the rivers. The organization will be strengthening its mangrove reforestation and fishery surveillance operations in the coming months through capacity building for its members. One major activity is also to develop second-tier of leaders to ensure the continuity of the organization. An information and public awareness campaign will also be undertaken to increase the mass-based support for coastal and marine management in the Municipality.

BATANES is the smallest province in the Philippine archipelago but probably popular province because of it’s undisturbed and unspoiled beauty of nature preserved by peace loving people.  BATANES is different – wind swept hills and boulder-hemmed shores that lure, challenge and haunt. The people are different – a brave and skillful race of hardy, inscrutable survivors.  The houses is different – stone walls, whitened with lime, and roofed in thatch of grass.
