Healthy mangrove forest is one of the excellent way to protect the environment, the local communities and secure the sustainability of the future generations. It is also a great climate change adaptation and mitigation measure. And according to scientist, healthy mangrove forest prevents pandemic and can get medicine from the tree.
Noveleta Mangrove Forest is in Cavite Province, managed by Mangrove Farmers Association, a fishing community in the area. It served as an alternative or supplementary livelihood during monsoon season. Their mangrove nursery provides seedlings to volunteer tree planting during a Corporate Social Responsibility with option to do outreach program.
